⑶. Improve quality, reduce costs, save energy and reduce emissions

Head manufacturing generally includes stamping, spinning, explosive forming and other processing methods. Spinning can be divided into hot spinning and cold spinning. Hot spinning has high requirements for equipment and processing technology, large investment and high production costs. Only a few head manufacturers in China use this production process. Cold spinning is not suitable for heads with thicker wall thickness. The forming speed is slow and the processing efficiency is low. Annealing is generally required to eliminate the residual stress after forming, and the manufacturing cost is also high. The hot stamping adopts a series of special dies with high forming precision. Because the hot processing does not need stress relief annealing, the quality is good, and it can be formed once generally, with high production efficiency and low cost. However, the key to adopting the hot stamping process is to have a valuable hydraulic press with corresponding capabilities. Therefore, the use of large tonnage hydraulic presses has become the leading trend of domestic head manufacturing enterprises.

****After the completion of the 8000 ton press heavy industrial head production line, the head originally manufactured by the cold spinning process can be changed to the hot stamping process. In this way, the quality is improved not only because of high forming precision and small residual stress; Moreover, due to the high production efficiency, it is not necessary to transport the spinning heads to other units for annealing in order to eliminate the residual stress, thus reducing the production cost.

Another feature of the technical transformation of this project is to change the coal fired reverberatory furnace into the gas fired reverberatory furnace. Because the head slab needs to be heated to 950-1050 ℃ in the reverberatory furnace before stamping, the fuel used in the reverberatory furnace of our factory is large high-quality lump coal, which is high in price. However, the reverberatory furnace with lump coal as the fuel has low thermal efficiency, slow heating speed, and heavy smoke and dust pollution when starting the fire. The gas producer uses fine coal, and the fuel price is half lower. The reverberatory furnace uses gas as the fuel to control the furnace temperature, which is convenient, flexible, less fuel consumption, less smoke and dust, and has good energy-saving and emission reduction effect. Therefore, it is necessary and imperative to transform the coal-fired reverberatory furnace into a gas-fired reverberatory furnace using coal to gas as fuel.

⑷. Now is a good time to build the project

In response to the financial crisis, the government has launched a series of support policies for enterprises, and it is easier for SMEs to obtain bank loans. This project uses more steel.
